By rewarding particularly successful founders who have made a lifelong contribution, Founders Alliance wishes to inspire sustainable company building and inspire other founders to act as similarly great role models.
Each year, the Founders Alliance Alliance nominates the winners of the award. Founder of the Year Honorary Award laureates, one man and one woman, will receive the Growth Rings Award at the Founders Awards Gala on September 22, 2022.
Criteria for Founder of the Year Honorary Award
- has built a limited company with over 10 MEUR in annual sales
- has made a lifelong contribution of sustainable and long-term company building
- has enhanced societal well being based on employment, tax revenue and community involvement
- is a role model for other founders, business and society no longer need to be operational
Winners Founder of the Year Honorary Awards 2021
Christina Wahlström, founder of Mama Mia, and Darko Pervan, founder of Välinge, were awarded the Growth Rings in Gold for the Founder of the Year Honorary Award 2021 at the Founders Awards Gala held at Stockholm City Hall on September 16, for their lifelong contribution to sustainable and long-term company building.
