Are you or do you know a young, promising founder with future potential? Now, you have the opportunity to nominate yourself, or to contribute by nominating a female and a male promising founder to the global award Young Founder of the Year.

The finalists of the Young Founder of the Year will be celebrated and are invited to at the 23rd Founders Awards Gala on September 19, 2024 at Nalen in Stockholm.

Empowering the Next Generation of Founders

The Young Founder of the Year Award celebrates young founders with the potential to build successful companies, be effective leaders, and inspire others. The purpose of the award is to empower further success, acting as a catalyst to growth for young founders.

The award is part of the Founders Award by Founders Alliance. Read more here: Previous winners Young Founder of the Year 2018-2023.

Nomination Criteria

Our criteria for the award require that the young founder is under 30 years of age at the time of nomination and that the founder, along with any co-founders, together holds at least 40% of the shares. Additionally, the nominee must have:

Started and currently runs a private or public limited company
Achieved a turnover of at least 50,000 EUR
Demonstrated the potential to become a successful founder

Selection Process

The nominees and their companies are ranked based on the Founders Alliance (FA) Index, considering past performance, future potential and societal benefits.
Top-ranking nominees and their companies will be announced as finalists in each category through our social media channels.
Finalists will be invited to jury presentations to introduce themselves and their companies to a jury of large scale founders.

Winner Announcement

The finalists will participate in the Founders Awards Gala, where the winners will be announced on stage September 19.

Founders Awards

Founders Awards is a number of awards such as Young Founder of the Year, Founder of the Year and Founder of the Year Honorary Award, presented annually by Founders Alliance in Sweden. The purpose is to inspire the sustainable creation of companies by rewarding and spotlighting particularly successful ones.

To encourage long-term, sustainable and equal ownership, Founders Alliance pays attention to women and men in every step of the entrepreneurial journey and honor winners in five categories: from the young founder, through all phases of a company’s growth cycle to the founder who through a lifetime achievement has developed one or more companies, and who embodies a true role model for other founders.
